Continuing the tradition, the Greeks on the Streets car club participated in the Greenwood Car Show in Seattle, Washington, on June 30, 2018. The show stretches for over 25 blocks. Sponsored by the Juan de Fuca Chapter of AHEPA, participation in this annual event has grown steadily. The group photograph consists of Greeks and philhellenes all of whom are vehicle aficionados. There were 15 cars and, as in each previous year, one of the cars was a prize winner. Seen here are most of the participants (l-r) Stefanos Kazakos holding his son Ethan (see his prize-winning photo below), Juan Vega, Dean Lentgis, John Nicon, Spiro Xenos, Manny Xenos, Conrad Topacio, Curt Jacobson, Paul Narancic. Not pictured: Jim Pappas, George Apostolou, Louie Velaoras.
Here is a photo of this year’s highlight: the presentation of an award to Stefanos Kazakos for his 1980 Oldsmobile Hurst, best original 1980s vehicle in the entire show of almost 600 cars of every shape, size and color.
Here are a few photos to show the variety of vehicles on display.
And, here are a few video segments of owners not featured in previous years.
